A large part of our business involves the manufacture of bespoke design mantels for customers who require something completely individual. Whilst any of our standard designs can be altered or adapted sometimes a unique design or copy of an original is needed. We are frequently asked to carve a family coat of arms, thistles, Celtic knots and many other motifs connected to an individual or setting.
Here are just a few examples of the projects we have been involved in:
Prince of Wales Feathers
After obtaining permission from St James Palace we manufactured a timber mantel with a carving of the Prince of Wales feathers as the centrepiece. This was displayed at a trade fireplace exhibition and when it was later sold the profits were donated to charity.
St Andrews Golf Club
For a keen member of St Andrews Golf Club we manufactured a timber mantel with the club’s coat of arms as the centrepiece.
Insurance Claims
We have manufactured many replica mantels to replace originals that have been stolen or destroyed in some way. All we need is a photograph or sketch and the sizes required.
